This year, team Ghana had their event in the dazzling cities of Malaysia and Dubai. This marks Ghana’s fifth entry into the competition—a testament to our students’ unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation.
The unforgettable experience in Malaysia and Dubai created an adventure for our students, where they could immerse themselves in diverse cultures while pushing their academic boundaries.
Team Ghana: A Collective Force of Brilliance
With 33 passionate individuals, including bright students, dedicated teachers, and supportive officials from esteemed institutions like Ghana Christian International High School (GCIHS), Delhi Private School International (DPSI), and Healthy Minds International (HMI), Team Ghana was a force to be reckoned with.

Beyond the Competitions: Life-Changing Experiences
But the journey didn’t end with competitions. Team Ghana embraced the opportunity to explore Malaysia’s breathtaking and the enchanting Sky Metropolis in Genting Highlands. The thrill of standing high above the clouds was matched only by the excitement of the adventures that awaited in Dubai:
Marina Dhow Cruise Dinner: Picture this: the sun setting over the horizon as the team sails along the shimmering waters, surrounded by the stunning Dubai skyline. An evening filled with laughter and camaraderie, this was a moment of pure joy and relaxation amidst a busy schedule.
Dubai Mall and Underwater Aquarium: Our students wandered through the vast halls of one of the largest malls in the world, where they marveled at the wonders of the Underwater Aquarium, a vibrant display of marine life that sparked curiosity and appreciation for nature’s beauty.
Fountain Display at the Burj Khalifa: Under the twinkling stars, the team witnessed a breathtaking fountain display that danced to music—a beautiful metaphor for how harmony can be achieved through teamwork and dedication.
Desert Safari: The thrill of adventure surged as the team embarked on a desert safari, navigating the golden dunes and creating memories that would last a lifetime—reminding us that life is about the journey, not just the destination.
Dolphinarium: Interacting with playful dolphins, our students were reminded of the importance of nurturing our planet and its creatures, fostering a sense of responsibility towards the environment.
Shopping at the Global Village: This vibrant marketplace allowed students to experience cultures from around the world, showcasing the beauty of diversity and the power of global connections.

The success of Team Ghana at STEAM Ahead 2024 is a collective achievement made possible by the unwavering support of parents, coaches, and all stakeholders. The dedication and guidance from GOA officials like Mr. Abel Ohene Acquaye(Executive Director), Bennette Osae Addo(Programs Manager), and Md Joanna Akweley Koranteng(Board Member -ATDP) were instrumental in ensuring a smooth and enriching experience for the team.
With support from Richard Senyo – Vice principal, SS-GCIHS, Dorcas Yisreal-Vice principal, JS-GCIHS, and Godfred Atomoh- Math tutor and olympiad coach – GCIHS. Their leadership inspired our students to strive for greatness and pursue their dreams fearlessly.
